Our college came into being as a result of the sincere effort and generous contribution of the people of the locality, which by and large, consists of the Tamil linguistic minority community, who aspired to have a higher educational institution in their place. From its humble beginning at the Community Hall of Chittur Block Panchayat, our college has made strides in infrastructure and related facilities to build an ideal academic ambiance. We are deeply indebted to the founding fathers of our college whose vision and aspiration always guide us in our activities.
We always stand by our vision of making progressive social change through quality education, considering that a majority of our students are first generation learners. Curricular, Co-curricular and Extracurricular activities are planned in such a way that the students are in a position to experience the social reality surrounding them, and cultivate values and ethos for the successful accomplishment of their social and professional life ahead. Our motto is a clarion call to our learners to perform their duties in the best manner possible for the betterment of society.
I feel proud that our students have been consistently bagging university ranks in UG and PG programmes, making this institution a corner-stone for excellence in education. In a latest result released by the University of Calicut, our 9 students were included in the top 12 positions of M.Sc Microbiology Examination 2022, including the first and the third ranks.
We have highly qualified faculty members with years of experience in their respective disciplines, and are dedicated to providing students with excellent education. We also have state-of-the-art facilities and resources in the form of smart classrooms, laboratories, library and a research center, which enable our students to engage in cutting-edge research and experiential learning.
Good academic climate guarded with peace and tranquility exists in the campus where students get ample opportunities to excel in their field of studies and perform their talents. We always stand on academic merit, on which our admission procedure too is based. Reservations for students belonging to socially and economically backward communities help them realize their dream of access to higher education.
