Career Guidance & Placement Cell

INTRODUCTION

The Career Guidance Cell in our institution functions with the objective of providing learning/training opportunities to students in the areas of academic, career, personal and social development. It aims to prepare students to meet their future challenges and supports them in identifying their interests and strengths.

OBJECTIVES

  • The Career Guidance Cell aims to provide services in areas of Campus Interviews, Job Placements and training programmes for our students that enable them to develop applicable skills in the competitive job environment.
  • The Cell organizes Workshops and Seminars on Personality Development, Interpersonal Relationship, Communication Skills, Interview Skills, and Presentation Skills to enable the all-Round development of individuals.

ACTIVITY REPORT

2022

Activity 1

Date: 16/12/2022

Venue: College Auditorium

Conducted a one-day seminar for students in association with career development centre Chittur on 16/12/2022. The topics covered include personality development, Communication skills and job opportunities after undergraduate course.

 

2023

Activity 2

Date: 15/02/2023 to 17/02/2023

Venue: M.Sc. Microbiology Classroom

As part of ‘Thozhilarangathekku’ a program of and Knowledge Economy Mission for moulding women students for the upcoming placement drive; Career guidance and placement cell organises Work readiness programme for B.Sc. final year Microbiology students of this college. 34 students participated in a three-day session and the classes were led by ASAP trainer. Sessions were based on communication skills, personality development, Language improvement, soft skills etc.

Activity 3

Date : 22/3/23 to 24/03/2023

Venue: M.Sc. Microbiology Classroom

Work readiness programmes for the B.A functional english and B.A Tamil students were organised by the Career guidance and placement cell. 27 students participated in the three day classes.The classes were led by ASAP trainer. Sessions were based on communication skills, personality development, Language improvement, soft skills etc.
